Job Description

NYC Technology Group, a retailer in the sale of network products and broadband services is now interviewing for sales professionals – in an effort to organize an outside sales force of independent sales agents, for the NYC area and vicinity.

 

We are conducting a nationwide search for highly motivated sales professionals with proven track record in Business-to-Business selling, commission sales, and institutional type selling or similar ground.

 

About The Company

We are a Value-Added-Reseller partnering with Cisco/Linksys and Computer Associates, and service providers of broadband services.

 

Our product and service offerings consist of the following:

 

  1. Linksys/Cisco broadband, wireless, and networking hardware for SMB to Enterprise business environments  - a complete line of Linksys/Cisco Enterprise products.

 

  1. Computer Associate (CA) Anti-Virus Software Packages, Managing eBusiness Storage (Data), and Managing eBusiness Security – a complete line of CA enterprise business products.

 

  1. Nortel Networks networking hardware for SMB to Enterprise business environments.

 

  1. INTERNAP Colocation “Carrier Hotel” rack space and managed service products.

 

  1. Ingram-Micro and D & H distributors direct sales  – With heavy emphasis on new business development – alternative product sales.

 

  1. Broadband T1, T3, and DSL connectivity with leading internet service providers.

 

We Offer

  • In depth training on our line of products and services.

 

  • Sales and technical support on all product and service offerings.

 

  • Demo for Linksys and CA  presentations – limited

 

  • Backend support in terms of product information – brochures/data sheets and product guides, order processing, payment gateway, logistic handling and sales tools for our sales agents.

 

  • This is a commission only position, we offer up to 20% commission on products sold – with an annual sales target of $80,000.00.  One sale can run $400 to $12,000.00.

 

Job Preferences

  • 2 + Years sales experience w/ strong sales and marketing technique,
  • Knowledge of health care industry and/or market a plus,
  • Business to Business sales background would be preferred.

 

Job Requirements

  • Excellent telephone manners, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, service oriented attitude with the ability to anticipate client needs and plan ahead for future possibilities.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be working out of your home,
  • Making contacts with prospects by cold calling and follow up calling, meeting at tradeshows and other business events, 
  • You will also generate repeat business from you customers,
  • Following up with product information,
  • Setting appointments,
  • Guiding prospects through an online demo or presenting a demonstration in person,
  • Writing and presenting proposals,
  • Finalizing contracts and closing sales,
  • Managing customer accounts and relations,
  • Generating repeat business from your established accounts,
  • Generating customer referrals,
  • Referring customers to technical support when appropriate,
  • Reporting customer and sales information to the company,
  • Maintaining relationships with the HQ Sales Manager and the Technical Support staff,
  • Participating in sales training sessions as required.
